Assignment: Design an app for remote management of home automation devices using infographics.

The first thing I did was to choose a color palette and create the app logo with Illustrator. After doing a competitor analysis of home automation apps, I chose soft colors and a fairly simple layout to convey serenity and make it accessible to all ages. After that, I moved to Figma and started and created the layout of the different functions (such as lighting, security, heating…). Using variables and components, I was able to give the app dynamism and functionality. I paid a lot of attention to detail and made the app responsive for tablets as well. With Illustrator I also created icons to be used within the app to make it more understandable and intuitive. Finally, with Photoshop, I created mockups so as to bring the app to life.
